Derived from the Hebrew word for department store — כֹּלְבּוֹ — “col” = “everything” “bo” = “in it” — Colbo is a multidisciplinary space in New York’s Lower East Side that brings together the worlds of fashion, music, art, and hospitality. In addition to its in-house label, Colbo offers a coffee bar, a library of vinyl records, and a selection of items from independent designers alongside globally-sourced vintage.

Colbo x Porter Yoshida features a pair of new bags inspired by Porter’s “Smoky” line. These new directions combine Smoky’s durable, cotton-nylon fabrication with Colbo’s balance of elegance and ease to the collection’s existing shapes, through new silhouettes and finishings.

This collaboration is the result of an organic connection made when Porter visited New York, building off of shared tendencies towards an understanding of how commitment to material and production results in a quality of piece that would otherwise be unachievable.
